Saving it in jpeg makes the pixels change colors. So my drawing is difficult to edit now. I've tried going to save as and changing it but that doesn't make any difference.

You now need to re-edit it. For any serious picture editing you should keep extra copies at stages, this makes it easier to back-track when you get it wrong.
