How do i bring my background image into better focus?

I used stretch under properties but the image is way out of focus. I tried changing the pixels to match the recorded pixels for that image but nothing is bringing it into focus. I have tried tried this with several images and still having no luck.How do i bring my background image into better focus?
You can't - you are using a picture that is too small to stretch. You can't go from a low resolution to a high and still keep the same level of quality.How do i bring my background image into better focus?
