How to Change an image's size and maintain the aspect ratio and the colour depth?

PLS HELP ME IT IS VERY DIFFICULT



one of board question is :- Open the file SWAA6ICO.JPG in a suitable application. Change its size to 35 pixels wide and maintain the aspect ratio. Ensure that the colour depth is 256 colours (8 bit colour) and save the file as SWAA6ICO.GIF.(pls ignore the file name it is just an example).How to Change an image's size and maintain the aspect ratio and the colour depth?

try using it with GIMP

Open the image with GIMP



from the image menu select ';scale image';



set the width. it maintains aspect ratio by default so height will automatically change accordingly.



then save the image as GIF
Try resizing it using adobe. Just go to image size.
