Larger overall resolution is technically making the pixels smaller, however if you want larger icons for quicker image loading on an older graphics card, that's different. The larger the multiplied pixels in your current configuration, the harder your graphics card has to work to render them. So, if you have a windows machine, the controls to change either is in the display properties. To go there, right click on your desktop%26gt;%26gt;Click on properties%26gt;%26gt;Click on the settings tab. There should be a slider in the middle portion of the screen. The farther right you slide it, the higher your resolution becomes, and the slower loading. The farther left you slide it, the lower your resolution becomes.
