How do i change my screen resolution. pixels or whatever?

i have a compaq hp and i need to know how to change my screen resolution pixels or whatever! everthing is really big!How do i change my screen resolution. pixels or whatever?
if your using mac OS

click the apple logo top left of screen

select system preferences

click on displays

and change your resolution using that

if its the icons that are big then try

clicking view on the menu at the top when your on the desktop and click show view options or press the apple key and J and adjust the icon size using the menu that comes upHow do i change my screen resolution. pixels or whatever?
I'm going to assume you are using Windows...



Step1:

Right click on the Desktop (were your wallpaper is)



Step 2:

Select ';Properties'; from the menu that appears



Step 3:

There will be some tabs at the top label ';Themes, Desktop,'; etc. We want to click on the on that says ';Settings.';



Step 4:

In the bottom left, there were be a little slider under the words ';Screen Resolution.'; Drag it to from side to side to change the resolution.



Step 5 :

Hit ';apply'; to view your changes



The farther left you go the bigger things on the screen will look, but the less room you will have to work with.



The father right you go the smaller things will look, but you will have more room to work with..
