I cannot change the pixels on my monitor.?

I believe that my video card has gone bad as there is an exclamation mark next to it in the diagnostics but how do I know this for sure? My pixels cannot be changed and at times there are yellow lines running vertically down my screen. The color is also off. I have a NVIDIA 8300GS. A couple of sites looked as though there were issues with this card but I cannot get an answer of why. Where can I pick this card up, if I need to replace it? Can someone please help?I cannot change the pixels on my monitor.?
The exclamation mark means you don't have the proper drivers for the video card installed but the yellow lines probably do mean the card is dying. You'll probably find it much easier to buy a new card than to replace that one.I cannot change the pixels on my monitor.?
I have the nvidia 8400 GS

very basic video card

and yes i would buy a new one

try a 9200
that yellow arrow means your graphics card needs drivers (even though you are probably better off getting a new card that is very out-dated) if you want to keep this card then just search the card brand and model on Google and download the driver (this is free.. if the site wants you to pay don't you can find them free some other page)
